Remote Working With Bitrix24

 Bitrix24 provides you with all the tools to communicate, collaborate and get important tasks carried out as long as you have access to your portal.  We have highlighted some of the key areas on Bitrix that are used for remote working.


Communication is a key factor when working remotely and Bitrix provides some fantastic tools to communicate with colleagues and teams.  To start Bitrix offers realtime chat, voice and video calls within the system, desktop application and mobile application.  These include:

Collaborate in Workgroups

Bitrix24 has a fantastic workgroup tool to work with your team remotely.  Create a public or private workgroup, add the features you need which include:


  • Activity news stream to post out articles to the group
  • Team chat and video conferencing for all the workgroup members
  • Document management so group members can have access to all the resources needed to work
  • Task management so you can assign tasks solely to workgroup members


Fantastic examples of workgroup uses are for departmental spaces, teams within the organisation to work on specific projects (more in project management below), staff events for organising meet ups or remote working sessions.

Tasks & Projects

Keep on top of your workload when you’re working remotely with Bitrix24 Tasks and project management tools.  You can create tasks for yourself or assign them to a colleague and also assign them to a project workgroup.  Furthermore, Bitrix24 offers some fantastic methods to prioritise and organise your tasks with it’s range of different views and styles which include:


  • Your own personal task planner
  • Project task Kanban board
  • Deadline Kanban board
  • Deadline task calendar


Any project can have a dedicated group where all of the files, discussions, and tasks pertaining to that project are stored and accessed only by those users who are relevant to the project. Time spent on each task within the project can be tracked, and tasks are integrated into the group calendar.

Document Management

Bitrix24 is the perfect repository for all your documents and with Bitrix being in the cloud it will make them accessible at any location.  So, whether it is Presentations, documents, videos, and any other files can be placed for download, collaboration, or private use.  Most importantly, you can find any document quickly through the internal search.

The Bitrix24 CRM is a perfect platform to organize and track your interactions with your potential or existing clients, partners, agents and other contacts.  Not only can you track all your historic communication but you can quickly and easily organise all your new events including phone calls, messages and meetings.


The CRM provides you with all the tools needed to record that key information and every single bit of data is easily filtered and searchable within it.

If you’re not in the office, there is no need to worry about answering those calls when Bitrix24 offers telephony.  You have multiple options to have a telephone number inside Bitrix:


  • Rent a number from anywhere in the world
  • Connect your cloud or office PBX using the Bitrix SIP connector
  • Connect a 3rd party application such as 3CX or Ring Central


Furthermore there are some great features to use including specific call queues for numbers, call recordings and furthermore you can answer your calls using the Bitrix24 mobile application too.  If a call comes through and the number exists on your CRM, it will bring up the lead or contacts calling card with all their details.

Mobile & Tablets

As you are working remotely, you may not have access to a desktop PC or laptop but you might have a tablet or mobile device. The Bitrix24 tools are available on smartphones and tablets as well as PCs. You can view the Activity Steam, make new posts, and like or comment on existing ones right from your phone. Want to post a new photo? Easy!


Bitrix24 mobile app can synchronise contact information for your co-workers from the employee directory with your smartphone contacts. You will receive push-notifications any time your attention is required. Your tasks and scheduled events are also accessible from the mobile device. And if your internet connection is spotty – that’s no problem, because Bitrix24 mobile app has offline work mode.
